The sibling of the perpetrator testified his mother and father "could not manage" of their son and he was concerned his family member would kill a individual of their family, a official investigation has been told.

Axel Rudakubana, then 17, killed three children at a celebrity-themed lesson on that date.

Dion testified his sibling became significantly more violent after he was expelled from his school in the local area, in October 2019.

Dion went to college in 2022 and the siblings had diminishing contact "due to unfamiliarity with having me around."

He also told his associate there was a danger of "his committing an act potentially fatal."

He stated: "Arguments are terrifying because of the danger of someone dying."

Mr Boyle asked: "You were genuinely concerned that your sibling would murder a person of your household?"

Dion replied: "If things escalated to that level."

The lawyer questioned how his family dealt with the attacker's violent behaviour.

"There was no point to seek to penalize him," he stated. "Also, there was a heavy risk in doing so.

"We mentioned there was a general risk to safety in casual discussion, if you attempt to challenge him... it could provoke violence."

When Mr Boyle asked if his parents had been unable to handle of his relative, Dion acknowledged.

Questioned regarding his sibling resembling a persona from the movie the thriller, he explained: "It was said that character's supposed to be a psychopath and that's why I used the word there."

He revealed the previous encounter he had with his relative was in the summer of 2023.
